Today I have finally fixed the playback and added the possibility to access the data of the frame inside of Godot to send it to the shader. Something is wrong though as the final image is just … pink. ^^”
Possible problems
The pink image can be explained by my shader code not working properly, or by the way I’m sending the data to the shader as I need to convert it to an image first. I’m getting close to finishing this part though and I hope tomorrow will be the day that I will finish this for now I am still on schedule.
NZDN planning
I did make a planning for No Zero Days November to know if I’m wasting too much time or not:
- Day 1 – 6: Hardware decoding (includes the shaders);
- Day 7 – 9: Audio export testing (Probably can be done in a day, but my wife enters the hospital around this period);
- Day 10 – 13: Implement rendering in GoZen;
- Day 14 – 19: Implement multi stage audio rendering;
- Day 20 – 23: Adding basic transform effects;
- Day 24 – 26: Adding audio effects;
- Day 27 – 29: Add text support;
- Day 30: Project + editor settings menus.
And here by the readers are up to date with what will come, this planning isn’t something which I’ll be sharing in the video’s so the readers of my posts have some behind the scenes knowledge hahah.
Tomorrow’s plans
Tomorrow I have a freelance job to do some public speaking, I had to take some time to prepare for that so progress has been a bit slower, but not slower then I planned which I think is important to add. :p
If I get the shaders working tomorrow, I’ll be ahead of schedule but I will lose 2 day’s on which I won’t be able to get much work done due to hospital visits.
But I am not too stressed about keeping to my schedule as I do feel that it’s possible, and the support from my Ko-fi supporters is also a big help for feeling less stressed so a big thank you to all of you! ^^/
